A water soluble coloring agent for sugar and isomalt
Partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil, mono and diglycerides, dextrose, propylene glycol, dextrose, FD&C yellow 5, FD&C yellow 6, FD&C blue 1, FD&C blue 2, FD&C red 40.
Product should be kept in closed containers, cool and dry storage.
Indefinite if kept under recommended storage conditions.
CAI Color Granules are added to boiling sugar or isomalt at the end of the cooking process. Add CAI Color Granules directly to the boiling sugar or isomalt. There is no need to mix the sugar, as the coloring will disperse automatically. CAI Color Granules could also be added to the sugar or isomalt when it is reheated to a pliable form under a heat source. To do so, place sugar under heat source and once the sugar is soft, sprinkle some of the color granules on the surface of the hot sugar. Allow the heat element to warm the coloring agent for 5-20 seconds. This will melt the coloring agent to combine with the sugar and isomalt. After 5-20 seconds, blend sugar with the coloring agents. Proceed to use. NOTE: During the stage where coloring is placed under the heat lamp. Allow enough time for the coloring agent to soften. If not enough time is given, it will have very small specks of coloring in the sugar, that are very hard to disperse.
