Trace the pattern of the desired shape, then outline and fill in with Color Flood Mix ®. Color Flood® technique lets you create smooth and shiny color decorations and patterns on your cake.
COLOR FLOOD® ICING RECIPE
Makes 2 cups icing:
1/4 cup plus 1 teaspoon water, 4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar, 2 tablespoons Color Flood Mix ®
Blend all ingredients in a large bowl for 5 minutes. Dried Color Flood® might fade when exposed to bright light. Keep dried pieces covered until cake is ready to assemble.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Place parchment paper on a flat surface. To outline the pattern, use full strength #3 tip. For obtaining rounded line, hold tip from above the surface while piping the outline. Let the outline dry for 1-2 hours before filling in.
For filling in outlines: Thin the icing with 1/2 teaspoon water per 1/4 cup of icing. Add Icing Color as preferred.
To fill in: Cut a small opening in parchment paper bag. Begin filling in along the edges of the outline first, gently letting the icing flow up to the outline. Fill in your design quickly from outside edges in, from top to bottom. Allow 2-3 days for Color Flood® to dry completely. Use heat lamp to speed drying process. To remove Color Flood®, gently pull parchment paper off. Moisture will break down Color Flood®; always allow a refrigerated cake to come to room temperature before placing the Color Flood® decorations.
Egg whites, Sodium lauryl sulfate, mono & diglyceride (whipping aid), Citric acid, Tartaric acid, Titanium dioxide.
Should be stored cool and dry.
